From singer Emer Dunne:
Hi to all at the Dublin Association of New York,
My name is Emer Dunne and I am an Irish folk singer from Co. Laois, Ireland.
I lived in Dublin for many years around Kimmage, Crumlin and Terenure direction and I have many friends there
My siblings are also based in Dublin
I'll be coming to New York and other venues on the East Coast of the US this NOV with my two musicians, for my debut US tour, Folk Threads
My guitarist, Eamonn Moran, is also from Dublin to and he is now based in Sandyford and plays a lot of Irish and jazz music around the city.
I had hoped to be there last Sept but we had a delay on visa approval - however everything is fully confirmed now and we have rescheduled the dates!
Sunday Nov 2nd - Irish American Society Mineola
Tuesday Nov 4th - Garvans New Paltz
I'm getting in touch in the hope that your association might be in a position to help me by supporting the shows and helping me to spread the word through your communication network
It would be great to have a Dublin contingency in the audience and lovely to make connections and meet with you too.
I've included tour dates here below, along with a link to my website
I would appreciate hearing from you.
Thanks for your time.

Our very own Suzanne Fuller, DubSoc treasurer, received an Irish Echo Labor Award recently at The Edison Ballroom in NYC.
This is given to persons who have contributed to the Irish in America through involvement with organized labor.
Congrats to Suzanne. Very well done.
